Typical Event Workflow
Tap to expand/collapse the typical order of operations for an event day
- Optional, the day before: stream a pre-event test to check your setup end to end (see
Your First Event).- Before the event: confirm the event is configured (see
Managing Events).- Pair OBS with the platform if you haven’t already (see
OBS Plugin Guide), and select the
event for today.- Start streaming in OBS. If your event restreams, then once the stream is online click
Start Push, wait for the YT Restream row to read Ready for Live, then click
Go Live (with a manual restream key there’s no Go Live; the row reads Pushing). See
Running a Live Event. If
YouTube shows the stream as healthy but it won’t play, see
Troubleshooting.- During the event, watch the status panel for health warnings and let the pipeline cut and
publish clips automatically.- After the event, spot-check the Clips and Uploads pages (see
Clips, Uploads and Signage).First time doing this? See
Your First Event for the full
checklist version.
